ATLANTA — Storms moved through metro Atlanta and north Georgia Tuesday afternoon and evening, bringing heavy rain, strong winds, lightning and even hail to some areas.
Severe Weather Team 2 Meteorologist Brad Nitz said drier air will move in quickly after the showers. You can expect dry and warm weather to continue on Thursday, before a weakening cold front brings isolated showers and storms to north Georgia Friday and Saturday.
Storms Thursday left down trees and power lines in Newnan County. Roads also flooded in several areas of metro Atlanta, making for a treacherous evening commute.
