ATLANTA — A tree fell across Ponce de Leon Avenue Thursday morning.
The major road was closed at Clifton Road from around 5 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.
Work began to move the tree around 7:30 a.m. Channel 2's Linda Stouffer was there as several trucks carried away the 60-foot tree and surrounding debris.
Channel 2 traffic reporter Mark Arum advised commuters to completely avoid the area and to use McLendon Avenue, North Decatur Road or DeKalb Avenue as alternates.
