Duluth Police say a woman fraudulently claimed to be a registered nurse to work at the hospice where the daughter of Whitney Houston and Bobby Brown spent her last days.
"Exactly what she did on a day to day basis, I don't have that information." said Duluth Police Major Don Woodruff.
Duluth police provided Channel 2 Action News a report from a Forsyth County detective investigating a similar case involving Sobamowo.
The report stated Sobamowo stole a registered nurse license number from a nurse at Grady Memorial Hospital, and used that number to gain employment as an RN in charge of caring for Bobbi Kristina Brown at Peachtree Christian Hospice.
Investigators say Taiwo Sobamowo was one of the attending nurses.
Brown, who was 22-years-old, died July 26.
"When they checked with the Secretary of State's Office, this lady is not a nurse, not a licensed nurse, not a nurse practitioner or anything of that nature." said Woodruff.
The Forsyth County Sheriff's Office began investigating Sobamowo in September following a tip. She was working at an assisted living facility in Cumming.
"She presented credentials under a different name, claiming she was a registered nurse, had a Bachelor of Science and Master of Science and Nursing, and was a nurse practitioner in the state. None of which is true according to our investigation." said Forsyth County Detective Jeff Roe.
Authorities in North Carolina arrested Sobanmowo on Sunday. She faces extradition on charges including forgery, identity fraud and practicing nursing without a license.
