FLOYD COUNTY, Ga. — A 14-year-old drowned while swimming with his friends at a Georgia park on Monday night.
Investigators told Channel 2’s Michael Doudna that the victim was 14-year-old Tyler Brown.
The safety concerns about the popular swimming spot, on Channel 2 Action News starting at 4:00 p.m.

Floyd County Police says emergency crews responded to a drowning call at Armuchee Creek near Armuchee Park on Jones Mill Road. The Georgia Department of Natural Resources game wardens also responded.
A DNR spokesman says it appears the teen jumped from a popular diving rock around 8:45 p.m. Brown didn’t resurface within minutes and his friends called 911.
First responders arrived and began the search for the teen around 9 p.m. The Floyd County Fire Department found his body around 9:15 p.m.
Investigators have preliminary ruled Brown’s death as an accidental drowning.
