NORTH FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — Sandy Springs police are looking for two men who robbed a cellphone store at gunpoint last week and forced employees to the ground.
Surveillance video shows the men coming into the Metro PCS Store on Roswell Road and pretending to look for phones.
“You can tell right away when a customer wants to buy a phone,” employee Blanca Salinas said. “These guys were not trying to buy a phone.”
Salinas told Telemundo and Channel 2’s Mike Petchenik that one man left the store while the other pulled a gun and stormed the register area.
“I just saw a gun in my face and thought I was going to die,” she said. “A lot of things go through your head. My daughter, my family. Is this the last day? I didn’t know what was going to happen.”
Manager Moe Yoda said he’s heard from other Metro PCS store managers about similar cases.
“It’s the same guy, (the) same dude who has been doing this all over,” he said. “I want him to be stopped.”
Sandy Springs police said they are looking into the possibility that the men in the video could be behind other attacks.
“Hopefully we can use that information to possibly get a break in our case,” Sgt. Ron Momon said.
Momon said police are concerned that the robbers could escalate their violent behavior.
“That’s pretty brazen to me, on a busy street like Roswell Road, to walk into the store in the middle of the day like that,” he said. “That’s pretty brazen.”
