GRIFFIN, Ga. — Police are searching for three suspects after a man was found shot and killed Monday.
Police responded to a call of a man shot at a Griffin store parking lot. When they arrived, they found 21-year-old Demarkis Willis lying on the ground. The victim was transported to a hospital and later pronounced dead.
After further investigation from witnesses and evidence collected from the scene, police discovered that Willis fled from another scene to the parking lot after he fled from another location. Police say several men were fighting at an apartment complex over stolen property. The fight escalated and multiple shots were fired.
Police were able to identify three suspects involved in the shooting; Christopher Williams, Cornelius Henderson and Yohance Hines.
Police are still searching for the suspects.
