Police: Men beat, stab woman in Gwinnett home invasion

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. — Gwinnett County police are looking for three men who ambushed a woman at her front door, stabbed her and hog-tied her in front of her 4-year-old son.

The victim, Milagros Vasquez, told Channel 2’s Tyisha Fernandes the men also held the gun to her son's head and played Russian roulette.

Vasquez says she dropped one child at the bus stop and was opening the front door of her home on Holly Circle in Lawrenceville Thursday morning when three men came out of nowhere.

“They stabbed me in the arm and lower back, kicked me,” she said. “They knocked my phone out of my hand, took me inside and tied me up. They started hitting me and stabbing me,’ she said.

Vazquez said they then put a bullet in the chamber of the gun, and played Russian roulette with her and her son.

Vasquez says the gunmen kept asking, ‘Where is the money?’ She says she cleans houses for a living and told them she doesn't have much money.

She says the men then held a knife to her son’s ear and told her they would cut it off if she didn’t give them the money. They also threatened to sexually assault her.

She says she begged them not to kill her, asking if they had families of their own.

After nearly an hour, she says they took the cash she had, her jewelry, and her vehicle and left.

“All the stuff doesn't matter. All that's important is that me and my son are alive,” she said.

Police say the men would be driving Vasquez’s white van.
