PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. — Family members held a joint funeral Saturday in Dallas for the two teens killed in a crash June 17 in Paulding County.

Janeal Priester, 18, and her boyfriend Nick Wright, 17, died when the car they were in was T-boned on Highway 61 near Dallas.

“I would like to hear an apology,” said Richard Priester, Janeal’s cousin.

Priester said his family is frustrated investigators haven’t given them more information and because they haven’t heard from the driver of the other car involved.

Janeal Priester was driving and Wright was in the passenger seat. As they turned onto the highway, their car was T-boned by a car headed south on Highway 61. Janeal’s younger brother, Josh Priester, was in the back seat. His legs were crushed in the crash.

“They were saying he was going to be paralyzed,” Richard Priester said. “His whole leg is shattered. What they’re doing is putting some kind of rod in it so he can get some kind of movement.”

Richard Priester said initial reports from Georgia State Patrol that no charges would be filed because Janeal was at fault upset his family.

“We needed time for our family to grieve, but now we need answers. At first, they said she didn’t yield then a witness came out and said she did. And the story just isn’t matching up,” Richard Priester said.

Investigators say no one will be charged until after experts finish reconstructing the crash.

"We don’t want make this situation bigger than it is, but we will,” Richard Priester said. “I do know what’s right is right and what’s wrong is wrong, and that’s all I ask for.”
