Police ID 2 bodies found in Rome home

FLOYD COUNTY, Ga. — Police identified two bodies found inside a house in Rome on Friday.

James Steven Reeves, 69, and Myra Wilson Reeves, 71, were found dead at the home on Terhune Road around 3 p.m.

Police said the couple was shot to death.

Neighbors said the Reeves are grandparents and described them as very nice people.

Police initially said they were not looking for a suspect.

Sunday morning, the Floyd County police spokesperson told Channel 2 Action News, “This is being treated as a homicide investigation, but, right now, we have nothing further to release."
