PAULDING COUNTY, Ga. — A single-engine plane crashed in the western part of Paulding, according to officials.
Emergency officials say the plane crashed in the area of Hulsey Town Road, east of the Paulding County airport just after 8 p.m.

Two people, an instructor and student, were on board the aircraft. Both were transported to area hospitals, Sheriff Ashley Henson confirmed.
Sheriff Henson says that both men, ages 18 and 22, were critically injured.
They were able to call 911 themselves from the crashed airplane and first responders were able to quickly rescued them.
The National Transportation Safety Board has been notified.
Officials have not released additional information about what caused the crash.
