DAWSON COUNTY, Ga. — The Dawson County Sheriff’s Office is seeking the public’s help in finding the driver in a hit-and-run crash that left a pedestrian in critical condition.

The crash happened on Saturday just before midnight, where Dawson Forest Road and Black Mill Valley Road intersect.
According to the sheriff’s office, the car is believed to be a 2001-2008 white Jaguar sedan, possibly X or S type.
Deputies said a pedestrian was hit by a car traveling westbound toward Highway 9.

Dawson officials said the car will have damage on its passenger side, particularly in the mirror area. The car drove away, leaving the pedestrian in critical condition, the sheriff’s office said.

Authorities have not released the pedestrian’s identity or age.
