PALMETTO, Ga. — Portions of the City of Palmetto are under a boil water advisory effective immediately.
The advisory will be in effect for 24 hours. It was prompted by a water main break early Friday morning.

Officials said residents can expect air in their water lines and discolored water.

Areas that need to boil water are:
- Main Street from Church Street south to Tommy Lee Cook Road
- Broadmoor Subdivision
- Anna Avenue
- James Court
- Joshua Street
- Carl’s Woods:
- Aster Court
- Alpine Way
- Bavarian Drive
- Brooks Street
- Snowfall Terrace
