ATLANTA — The restaurant OK Cafe has a few more finishing touches to add before it resumes service, maybe as early as Wednesday, according to AJC reporter Leon Stafford.
The iconic diner and takeaway shop, near I-75 and the intersections of Northside Parkway and West Paces Ferry Road, was destroyed by fire in early December.
Since then, its reopening has been anticipated by neighborhood regulars and fans from near and far.
OK Cafe opened in July 1987, and soon became an Atlanta fixture, with crowds standing in line to sample its Southern-style blue plate specials and classic breakfast and brunch dishes.
