ROSWELL, Ga. — Three people have been arrested in connection with a drive-by shooting in Roswell on Tuesday.

One man was shot at least twice in the incident and police say it's lucky more people were not hurt.

Police have arrested Derrick Thompson, Christopher Strong and Eric Alexandre.

She said she’s still nervous about the incident, which happened on Holcomb Ferry Road.

Joy Harland told Channel 2’s Rikki Klaus she heard multiple shots fired around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday as she was bringing dinner to her son at the neighborhood pool.

"It's just pretty much wild, Wild West over here lately," Harland said. "We just heard ... like continual firing, and everyone's scattering and trying to get out the way."

Roswell police say a 20-year-old man was shot at least twice.

"The officers were able to do lifesaving measures while they arrived on the scene, by doing the tourniquet on him to stop the bleeding," said Officer Lisa Holland, of the Roswell Police Department.

Some witnesses told police they had seen a red Ford Mustang with two men inside drive by a couple of times.

Then, officers said, they fired multiple rounds from the vehicle. Investigators said it's lucky more people were not hurt. It was a busy time at the pool.

"It is lucky because there were multiple rounds of gunfire," Holland said.

Harland told Klaus that the violence must stop.

"I'm tired. I'm tired of burying kids. I've been in this neighborhood 17 years. I've buried maybe nine kids so far. In just over two years, I've buried five. All under the age of 19. I'm tired of burying kids,” Harland said. "I'm tired of making excuses for parents. We need to get out here and be proactive and making sure these kids are doing what they're supposed to be doing and being accountable for our kids."

Investigators say they do not know whether the victim lives in the neighborhood.
