ATLANTA — Neighbors are concerned about a very large pile of trash, old clothing and furniture sitting on a yard at a Buckhead home on Lookout Place.

Since last week, the piles, which are about 3 to 4 feet high, have been spread across the entire front and backyard of the property.

After rain and intense heat, neighbors are worried that the piles are creating public health concerns.

Anne King, 70, was evicted last Monday after an investment company bought her foreclosed property back in February.

Ed Montana, a physician, recently moved onto the street and said he has concerns about the pile of debris in her yard.

He said it is not only bad for neighbors' property value, but he is also worried about the growing health hazard that would come from the trash piled in the community.

"From a public health perspective clearly it's not sanitary," Montana said.

Montana said he does not know what King is going to do and feels bad for her.

"No one deserves to be thrown in the street like that," he said.

King lived in the house for 38 years. She says in recent months, she came upon hard times and was forced into foreclosure.

King told Channel 2's Rachel Stockman that she rented a U-Haul truck to start packing her house up.

But, she claims before she could finish, an eviction company came and threw all of her belongings onto the yard.

Some of her belongings were damaged in the process, she claimed.

"I think that placing something outside the residence is very different from throwing and damaging," King said.

An employee from the investment company, which bought the property, said that they gave King ample notice and went through all of the property court procedures.

The eviction company arrived along the marshals last Monday to clear out her belongings.

"We are hoping to get this stuff cleaned up," said an employee for the investment company.

King said she is trying to pull the belonging she wants to keep from the pile. In the meantime, King will live with friends.
