ATLANTA — The National Center for Civil and Human Rights is expanding.
Leaders held a groundbreaking for two new wings of the center on Ivan Allen Junior Boulevard.
The wings will add a total of 20,000 square feet and offer space for public engagement and more exhibitions.
That will include a play space, a remembrance gallery and a cafe.
Construction begins next year and is expected to be completed in 2024.
