FULTON COUNTY, Ga. — The Georgia State Patrol has cited a mother in a crash that resulted in her 2-year-old daughter being ejected from an SUV.
GSP said Tamecka Moore, 31, is charged with driving too fast for conditions, a tire violation and a child restraint violation.
Moore was driving a Lincoln Navigator on Interstate 85 on Friday when she lost control of the vehicle and struck the center median wall, near Cleveland Avenue, GSP said. Her daughter, Kiara Brooks, was ejected and landed in the emergency lane.
Kiara was taken to Children's Hospital of Atlanta at Egleston and released on Sunday.
Georgia State Patrol said the straps on the child restraint were loose fitting and the right side strap was not latched.
