Missing Smyrna child found safe

SMYRNA, Ga. — A missing Smyrna father and son missing since Tuesday have been found safe, according to officials.

Ryan Stow, and his son Braiden Stow, 9, were located Thursday afternoon in Alabama.

Police said the child’s father, Ryan Stow, took his son Braiden, after leaving a threatening note at his home in Smyrna.

The child is now with his mother and is unharmed.

Braiden’s grandfather found a written threat of suicide by cop inside the Smyrna home they share on Oakdale Drive. The note was written by Ryan Stow.

There are no charges pending against Ryan Stow.

This matter is considered closed by the Smyrna Police Department.
