SENOIA, Ga. — Two Florida residents were arrested in Coweta County after a Flock camera flagged a pickup truck linked to a missing child case.
Police found six people and three pets crammed into a five-seat vehicle, including a child squeezed onto a floorboard.
Senoia police officers and Coweta County sheriff’s deputies stopped the blue Ford F-250 on Highway 16 July 31.
Officers safely recovered the missing child, and they arrested driver Kayton Elmer and passenger Aja-Linn Eddy.
They placed four juveniles into state custody with the Coweta County Department of Family and Children Services.

Sgt. Alexis Callaway of the Senoia Police Department spotted the Ford F-250 traveling on Highway 16 and followed until additional officers arrived.
Officers from the Senoia Police Department and the Coweta County Sheriff’s Office initiated a traffic stop on Highway 16 east of Wrightsburg Trail, where they detained Elmer and Eddy.
When officers searched the truck, they found four juveniles inside. Eddy’s son, a child with Down syndrome, was crammed on the front passenger floorboard at the feet of another juvenile and a large speaker.
Police said Elmer had driven from Florida to Georgia with the boy unsecured on the floor because the five-seat vehicle did not have enough seating for its six occupants.
Officers also found two dogs, one of which was aggressive and a cat inside the vehicle.

Police identified one of the children in the back seat as the missing juvenile reported missing out of Pasco County, Fla., by his mother, Kelsie Bell.
Authorities confirmed that neither Elmer nor Eddy had parental rights over the child. The child told officers he was uninjured. Officers placed all four children in air-conditioned patrol vehicles before transporting them to the Senoia Police Department.
The juveniles were turned over to Coweta County DFACS after authorities learned that the children’s closest relatives were in Utah, Fla. and Minnesota. Coweta County Animal Control took custody of the pets and the truck was impounded.
Elmer and Eddy were booked into the Coweta County Jail. Holds were placed on both suspects for full extradition to Florida on felony warrants charging interference with custody of a minor.
