Officials responded to a medical emergency just before the finish line of the AJC Peachtree Road Race Tuesday morning.
Channel 2's Nicole Carr was on the scene when it happened.
Atlanta Fire officals confirmed to Channel 2 Action News that someone went into cardiac arrest at the finish line. They took that person to the hospital.

“We have received reports of a runner being down as a result of a medical situation,” Atlanta police spokesman Donald Hannah told the AJC.
The race attracted about 30,000 more people than it had in years prior with up to 65,000 participants, coordinators said.
