Elderly couple found in Marietta after 72 hour search

ATLANTA — The Georgia Bureau of Investigation cancelled a Mattie’s Call for a couple found after a nearly 72-hour search.

According to authorities, Willie Billiot, 83, and Demetrius Billiot, 77, left Rome going to Blueridge, Ga. at noon on Saturday.

They left their cellphone in Floyd County and calls to their Port Sulfur, Louisiana, home were unsuccessful.

Police did not immediately know where the couple has been or how they travelled to Cobb County.

Channel 2's Ross Cavitt reported Tuesday morning the couple had been located by police in the Marietta square in Cobb County.

The couple is in poor health with reported dementia and brain cancer, according to authorities.
