GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — A Gwinnett County massage therapist is facing charges after police say he groped a female client.
Channel 2’s Jessica Jaglois learned that it took nearly a month to make an arrest in this case. Jaglois also looked at the secretary of state website and there is no license for Yang to practice massage therapy.
The incident happened in December and after a month-long investigation, they arrested Choa Yang on Thursday afternoon at Professional Bodyworks inside Gwinnett Place Mall.
Jaglois spoke with the owner and manager of the massage parlor. They gave her a different story about what happened that day.
Yang, the 26-year-old massage therapist, is charged with sexual battery.
Some details in the police report are too graphic to share, but among the accusations, the victim told police the suspect pulled the towel covering her body down and groped her chest.
Police say the victim walked out and called 911.
“The officer went inside and interviewed the person who gave her the massage, along with some of the employees there and that's when the suspect denied any kind of inappropriate touching of the victim,” said Gwinnett Police Department Cpl. Michelle Pihera.
The owner said he was in the room next to Yang and his alleged victim and didn't hear anything, even though the walls are open and there isn't a door.
But Gwinnet County police say they're looking for other victims.
“Any person, man or woman, who's gotten a massage, they know what's appropriate and inappropriate and they know where they should and should not be touched,” said Pihera. “If anybody else is a victim of this suspect, Mr. Choa Yang, or anyone else at the massage parlor or any other location please contact our department.”
