COBB COUNTY, Ga. — A Cobb County man is on a mission to find his class ring. He said he lost it while helping a stranded driver Tuesday night.
Zach Sanders and a friend got stuck in the snow and ice. After pushing his friend's car, he offered to help a stranger navigate out of the snow and ice.
"I kept falling because it was really slick, and I didn't have gloves on. My hands were cold and wet, and my ring just fell right off," said Zach Sanders.
Sanders graduated from the Citadel in 2013.
"It's a part of me. It's a part of every graduate of the Citadel because you work so hard to get it," said Sanders.
He said the ring can be replaced, but it won't be the same.
"It's not the one that I originally got, that I got with all of my classmates. It will look the same, it will feel the same, it will say the same thing inside the ring, but it's not the original," said Sanders.
Sanders said he lost it near the Tuxedo Festival shopping center in Buckhead. He thinks it's in the area of Roswell Road and Old Ivey Road.
