DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. — Police say a man was hit and killed trying to cross the road near a busy Target shopping center in DeKalb County Wednesday morning.

The accident happened around 9:30 a.m. and shut the road down in both directions.

The driver, who hasn’t been identified, stayed at the scene.
The victim, who also hasn’t been identified, was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The area is near the back entrance to a busy Target shopping center at the intersection of Briarcliff Road and Druid Hills Road.
It’s unclear if the driver is facing any charges.
The investigation is ongoing.
