CLARKSTON, Ga. — One person is dead in an early morning shooting at a DeKalb County apartment complex.
The shooting happened on Brockett Way at the Portafino Apartments in Clarkston around 2 a.m.
Plenty of people saw the man dead, but so far police can't find anyone who actually saw the shooting or a suspect.
Investigators say they found a man's body on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds.
“It’s just nerve-wracking you know? I'm very surprised. It just makes me nervous to see something like that, sort of unexpected to walk out, going to work, all the mornings I've came out. Never seen anything like this, never even seen cop cars over here like this,” said resident Brenda Ewing.
Ewing said the man's body was in between two cars in the parking lot.
Channel 2's Sophia Choi spoke to Clarkston Police Chief Christine Hudson.
"Our officers received a call of multiple shots fired. When they arrived, they found a black male laying on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds," Hudson said.
Police say they are also having a tough time identifying the victim, he had no ID on him. They believe he's in his 20's. They're hoping an exam by the medical examiner will help.
Detectives are looking for witnesses and any evidence left behind.
