GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Gwinnett County police are investigating a deadly shooting in unincorporated Norcross.
Officers have taped off two crime scenes at the Bradford Gwinnett Townhomes on Beaver Springs Lane -- one where the shooting happened and the other where the victim was found.
Neighbors called police to the complex over possible shots fired around 11:30 p.m. Sunday. Responding officers left after not finding anything. Later, a neighbor found a man dead along the wood line behind the townhomes and police returned to investigate.
Police are speaking to possible witnesses, including neighbors who saw several cars speed out of the area.
Investgators will not release the man's name until his family is notified. Neighbors said he was a 23-year-old who stepped outside to investigate after hearing gunshots.
