COWETA COUNTY, Ga. — Police are investigating after a man was found shot to death in the middle of an apartment complex.
Newnan police said officers responded to a shots fired call on Octavia Drive around 9:45 p.m. Wednesday.
Initially, investigators said they did not see anything suspicious.

After walking around the area they found the victim's body. Officials identified the victim as
Adrian Cantrell Sheffield, 44.
The investigation shows that Sheffield and Orenthal Jermaine Carroll were involved in an argument. During that argument Carroll shot Sheffield, according to police.
Police told Channel 2 Action News Carroll has been charged with murder.
