ATLANTA, Ga. — A man was found dead inside the historic Old Fourth Ward Park in Northeast Atlanta early Saturday morning.

The Atlanta Police Department have the playground area of the park blocked off with crime scene tape as they investigate.
Channel 2’s Bryan Mims spoke with Lieutenant Christapher Butler on the scene. Butler says police responded to a call about gunshots at the park. They found a 42-year-old man with a gunshot wound and he was pronounced dead on the scene, despite life saving efforts.
Police did detain somebody who “was involved” in the incident for questioning.
