MADISON COUNTY, Ga. — A man faces an animal cruelty charge after police say he tied down a live cow spread eagle on a flatbed trailer.
Police in Madison County confirmed to Channel 2 Action News the arrest of Phon Tran two weeks ago. Officers said the cow had broken joints.
Tran told officers a friend had given him the cow because it had a broken leg. He said he was transporting it to a meat processing plant.
Tran was charged of violating the Danielsville Animal Care Ordinance.
