ATLANTA — It’s been nearly three years since the infamous Interstate 85 bridge collapse shook Atlanta.

An addicted homeless man was accused of starting that fire.

Today, 42-year-old Basil Eleby is clean and sober.

He chose that two-year program instead of going to trial.

He graduated from a behavioral and drug abuse program.

“I’m not the same person that I was three years ago, or even a year ago,” Eleby said.

Basil hopes that his success in battling addiction will inspire others.

He told us it’s not where you start but where you end up.
