Runaway llama captured in Athens

OCONEE COUNTY, Ga. — The Oconee County sheriff’s office says units responded to a runaway llama near Athens.

According to the sheriff’s office, the llama was spotted around 4:00 p.m. Wednesday on the GA 10 Loop near Exit 1.

The llama was rounded up at the Cookout on Epps Bridge Parkway by deputies and llama experts, the sheriff's office said.
