ATLANTA - Drivers traveling along Fayetteville Road SE can expect traffic changes as crews begin work to improve sidewalk accessibility.

The Atlanta Department of Transportation says one lane will temporarily close between Flat Shoals Road SE and Bouldercrest Drive SE beginning the week of Oct. 12.
The closure will take place from 8am to 5pm and remain in effect until the project is completed.

Crews will be upgrading ramps to improve accessibility for people with disabilities.
Traffic lanes will shift during construction, but the road will remain open to drivers. Enforcement officers and flaggers will be on-site to assist with traffic control.
