ATLANTA — On Instagram this morning, Kim Zolciak Biermann reported she had a mini-stroke after returning to Atlanta from Los Angeles Tuesday morning and the latest “Dancing With the Stars” telecast.
She said her left side went numb and she couldn’t speak. She credited her daughter Brielle, her husband Kroy, Brielle’s boyfriend Slade Osbourne and her hairstylist Niki Toney-Pressley for helping her out.
She is in the hospital but hopes to be out today. She did not say how this will impact her stay on “Dancing With the Stars.” If anything, it shortens the amount of time she has to prepare for Monday’s dance. This episode will certainly get airplay on the ABC show next week.
Zolciak survived two rounds of departures this week from “Dancing With the Stars,” outlasting R&B legend Chaka Khan and jockey Victor Espinosa. After garnering the lowest score of the week opening night with a 12, she improved this week, finishing with a 19 and 18, respectively.
She starred on Bravo’s ”Real Housewives of Atlanta” for five seasons and is currently in her fourth season of the spin-off “Tardy for the Party” focused on her family.
