Damage at Extra Space Storage was caused by a drive-by BB gun shooting last Thursday. One window was shattered, and another had to be boarded up.
Police said Joshua Hendricks admitted to firing the weapon aimlessly from his car while driving along Terrell Mill Road in East Cobb.
The shooting happened in a busy shopping plaza last Thursday.
Hendricks is charged with reckless conduct and criminal damage.
Cobb County police said they are investigating another incident that happened one day later near a grocery store at Shallowford and Sandy Plains roads in East Cobb.
A woman posted on Nextdoor that several young boys in a car shot at two children.
It is unclear whether they used a pellet gun or a BB gun, but the children were injured.
Police have not released any information about the suspects.
“We encourage parents to talk with their children about the safe and responsible use of these devices and remind them that shooting at someone with a pellet or BB gun isn’t a harmless prank. There can be very serious consequences,” Cobb County Police said in a statement.
