Severe Weather Team 2 Chief Meteorologist Brad Nitz says isolated showers and storms could pop up through Thursday evening with a front stalled across our area.

That stationary front is going to dissipate as another cold front drops in overnight and becomes stationary.

On Friday, the weather pattern will be similar to Thursday’s, with a mostly cloudy start to the day, including a shower or two in the morning.

In the afternoon, thunderstorms start to develop. The storms could be locally strong to severe, with damaging wind gusts a threat along with cloud-to-ground lightning.
