HENRY COUNTY, Ga. — A grieving Henry County community supported the families of four Eagles Landing High School students killed in a car crash last week.
“It kind of eases your mind to know that so much love was for my son,” Charles Dodson said.
Dodson lost his 16-year-old son Kendarrias in the crash near campus last Wednesday.
Katrina Owens, 15, Jordan Brown 15, and Kendarius Jackson, 16, were also killed in the crash.

One more passenger remains in the hospital in serious condition.
“Much love to this community. We lost some awesome kids, some wonderful souls,” Dodson said.

A somber balloon release was a reminder how the four beloved teens are watching down from above.
Friends and family wore Kendarrias Dodson’s baseball number 22 in support of the popular student athlete.
“I feel like I needed to be here because of how much he helped me and to support his family because he really did mean a lot to me,” student Brianna Hinds said.
Henry County police have not released what they believe led to the crash on Oak Grove Road.

The crash is a reminder for so many students about what can happen in an instant.
“Plan on being way more safe, more careful, more cautious, more vigilant,” students said.
The tragedy has brought Eagles Landing community closer than ever and they’re using that strength to lift up each family that needs it.
“All the hugs and well-wishes and condolences, it does help,” Dodson said.
