HENRY COUNTY, Ga. — People in Henry County who were impacted by last week’s violent storms will now have another place to get help.
The county and the American Red Cross have partnered to open a disaster relief shelter at the Locust Grove Recreation Center.
The shelter, which will open at 4 p.m., will have mobile showers, bathrooms, washers and dryers for those who need them.

“To assist those needing a hot meal, the Salvation Army has established a mobile kitchen for the Indian Creek Mobile Home Community for up to two meals per day for those with no power due to the inclement weather,” the county said in a news release on Monday.
The recreation center is located at 10 Cleveland Street in Locust Grove.
