Kevin Mondragon, 18, was arrested at Lanier College & Career Academy in Oakwood after school administrators found a shotgun in a vehicle, the sheriff’s office said.
He faces a felony charge of carrying a weapon within a school safety zone and is in the process of being booked into Hall County Jail.
Authorities said school administrators were searching the vehicle because they got a report of illegal substances in the vehicle. They found the unloaded gun in the car’s trunk.
