GAINESVILLE, Ga. — A Hall County doctor is facing charges after new allegations of sexual battery during patient visits.
Despite the new allegations, Channel 2 investigative reporter Nicole Carr has learned that Dr. Robert Philip Marler is still working, serving in an administrative role for the Longstreet Clinic group since an initial allegation surfaced a couple of years ago.
While investigators say there's evidence of a pattern of abuse, his attorney said there's absolutely nothing to the charges.
Rubin said it more than a year ago, and he declared his client's innocence again on Wednesday.
“This really came out of left field. He's highly respected in is field. This is really frustrating for us," attorney Bob Rubin said.
