HALL COUNTY, Ga. — A metro Atlanta deputy has been placed on administrative leave following his arrest on a misdemeanor charge of making harassing phone calls.

According to the Hall County Sheriff’s Office, Gainesville police charged Austin Scott Flanagan, 30, of Gainesville, in connection with the case.
Flanagan was taken into custody at the Hall County Sheriff’s Office headquarters and booked into the Hall County Jail shortly after noon. Jail records show he posted a $650 bond and has since been released.

The sheriff’s office said Flanagan has been placed on administrative leave with pay while the investigation continues.
The HCSO has employed Flanagan since November 2022.
