Hairless kitten goes missing at Hartsfield Jackson International Airport

ATLANTA — Employees at Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport are on the lookout for a missing family pet.

A Florida family says their cat was lost while being transported on a Delta Airlines flight.

The family bought the hairless peterbald kitten named Rudy from a breeder in Canada. The kitten was being transported to its new family for the first time.

A spokesperson for Delta Airlines said an active search is underway and the airline is looking into what went wrong.

Rudy's cage broke open, and the kitten escaped into the cargo area on June 4 around 7 a.m.

The family is offering a $1,000 reward for Rudy's recovery.
