GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Police say a shooting call that sparked a SWAT standoff was just a hoax.
Suwanee police say they were called to a home in the Village Grove subdivision Tuesday morning after a caller said someone had been shot and that the shooter was still inside the house.
The neighborhood was immediately locked down and the surrounding houses were evacuated.
After investigating, police now say the call was a hoax and there is no victim or gunman.
