GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Police are investigating after a fight between two cheerleaders at a Gwinnett County middle school didn’t end in the hallway.

Channel 2's Tyisha Fernandes has learned that parents of a 14-year-old girl involved in the fight brought their daughter to the other girl's house to resume the fight the next day.

A second fight broke out, and parents joined in. That part of the brawl was all caught on camera.

"They were friends. Things just got out of hand," Latia Hightower told Channel 2 Action News.

Hightower said her daughter and the other girl had been arguing for days before the fight on April 25.

"It just got to a boiling point," she said.

As of right now, no charges have been filed. Hightower said she wants to know why.

"I would never think that a parent would actually provoke their child or give them that type of advice to do this to another child," Hightower said.

After Channel 2 Action News showed police video of the two fights, they sent a new investigator to the school. We'll let you know if and when any charges are filed.
