GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Gwinnett County police have identified the woman found dead inside a plastic storage bin Thursday.

Salathiel (Sally) Zeno, 42, of Lawrenceville, was reported missing on Jan. 1 by her husband. He told police he had not spoken to his estranged wife since the beginning of December and had not seen her in months.

A homeowner found the woman’s body in the bin in the front yard of the home on James Road around 1 p.m. Thursday.

“You wouldn't imagine someone just dumping a body in front of the road in the yard during the day,” Shannon Hammock said.

Zeno’s husband told police she had disappeared before. He also offered clues to possible issues in her life. An officer wrote the husband said "Zeno is an avid user. He said that she had battled an addiction to crack cocaine over the past few years. She was clean for a while,” but he said she'd recently become addicted to pain killers.

The husband said she frequented motels in the Norcross area.

The medical examiner is still working to determine the cause of death. There were no obvious signs of trauma on the body.

“This is a very unique and specific fashion to discard this body,” Cpl. Deon Washington said.

The medical examiner believes she died three to five days ago.
