GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — A Gwinnett County apartment complex building partially collapsed after a large fire Monday night, authorities said.

The burning building at the Landmark at Bella Vista Apartments off Satellite Boulevard in unincorporated Duluth was evacuated by 9 p.m., Gwinnett Fire spokesman Donald Strother said. At 11 p.m., the fire was mostly extinguished, but crews were not able to safely enter the building.

It’s unclear whether anyone was injured. Video on social media of the fire shows flames engulfing the top floor of the building. A large plume of smoke can also be seen.

The extent of damage to the building, the number of units affected and the cause of the blaze are all unknown, Strother said. At least a dozen people were displaced.
