GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Channel 2 Action News has learned that a police officer was involved in a wreck with another car in Gwinnett County.
The crash happened around 4:15 p.m. along Highway 316 at Drowning Creek Road.
Gwinnett County police said an officer from their DUI task force was on their way home when another car pulled in front of them.
The Gwinnett officer was being checked out at the scene and the driver of the other car was taken to a nearby hospital.
