GWINNETT COUNTY, Ga. — Two people were found dead in Gwinnett County on Wednesday morning after not showing up for work, according to police.

Police say they were called to a home on Sterling Drive near Milo Court in unincorporated Lawrenceville for a welfare check.

They say a family member called 911 just after 11:30 a.m. when their loved ones’ employers reached out to let them know they didn’t show up for work. The family member tried calling the couple, but couldn’t get them on the phone.

When officers arrived, they could see one person not moving inside the home and went inside where they found another person dead.

Police say they are currently investigating the deaths as a possible murder-suicide.

A little boy, who police say is no older than two years old, was also found in the home unharmed.

Police say the victims were a husband and wife, but it is unclear which is the homicide victim and which is the suicide victim.
