Gwinnett County Fair cancelled because of COVID-19 concerns

ATLANTA — The Gwinnett County Fair is taking a year off because of concerns about the spread of COVID-19.

The Gwinnett County Fairgrounds Board of Directors decided Monday night to cancel this year’s edition of the fair.

“After careful review of the COVID-19 requirements, the Board of Directors feel its in the best interest of the community, staff and volunteers to cancel the 2020 Gwinnett County Fair,” a statement said on the fair’s website. “We look forward to seeing everyone again in September 2021.”

The fair was originally scheduled from Thursday September 17 to Sunday September 27.
