Georgia day care owner arrested on child abuse charges, GBI says

LAURENS COUNTY, Ga. — The Georgia Bureau of Investigation has arrested the owner of a day care on cruelty to children charges.

Sharon Mills, 49, of Rockledge, owned the Roseland Child Care Center in Laurens County. The GBI said a mother reported that her child had visible injuries after being at the child care center.

Mills was arrested on March 4 on one count of cruelty to children in the first degree, one count of tampering with evidence, one count of influencing a witness and one count of giving false statements. All four charges are felonies.
