The Georgia Bureau of Investigation is investigating a deputy-involved shooting of a naked man in Rockdale County.

The shooting happened around 11:30 a.m. in the area of Benji Blvd on Monday. The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public to avoid the area.

Deputies responded to a call of a man who was exposing himself.

A neighbor who witnessed the confrontation said the man may have been having a mental health crisis.

GBI agents went door-to-door to speak with people in the area.

The neighbor who witnessed it shared video with Channel 2’s Michael Seiden. He asked to not be identified.

The video shows a deputy using pepper spray on the man. A Taser was also used by responders, but it did not stop the man.

“He had no choice but to draw his firearm,” the witness said of the deputy.

Officials have not said whether the man will face charges or provided information on his condition.
